All artwork, photographs and proofs, including bespoke designs are property of BlueBird Wedding Stationery, unless otherwise agreed on a per customer basis. Customers may not use supplied artwork to edit, re-print or outsource, for any purpose, unless otherwise agreed.
Please be aware that it is the responsibility of the customer to obtain permission for the use of any images, readings or lyrics provided to us e.g. For Orders of Service Sheets.
Prices include white envelopes, personalised choice of wording (providing the required text will fit on the standard card sizes, otherwise a bespoke price will be quoted) and choice of colour.
BlueBird Wedding Stationery reserves the right to use any stationery they create to promote their products and services.
Delivery
Average time from approved proof to dispatch is around 2/3 weeks but this is not exact and may fluctuate. Pocketfolds may take longer than this. Please feel free to ask about delivery for your specific products and quantities before making an order. Delay to orders is usually in the proofing process as orders will not progress until I have confirmation that you are 100% happy with the last sent proof, it is therefore better to be certain of your text before emailing it to me.
All stationery deliveries under a value of £50 are sent using Royal Mail 1st Class Delivery. Orders over £50 are sent using multiple trusted couriers including Yodel and Hermes, these are 2-5 working day services, therefore if I think you require a faster service than this (for instance if your wedding is very soon) then I will either suggest or insist this depending on the time frame and this will cost a little extra. The price you pay for the standard 2-5 service will depend on the value and weight on your order, and will be calculated at the checkout. The full price of your order is always insured against loss or damage.
Delivery to certain postcodes e.g. Channel Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of White, Isle of Man and some parts of Scotland will incur additional delivery charges. Clients can arrange to pick up their order in person to save postage, however this is at the discretion of BlueBird Wedding stationery and may not always be possible. The customer is responsible for any additional customs charges and we cannot give an indication of whether this will happen or how much they will be.
We always try to accommodate your needs wherever possible, but please allow as much time as possible when placing your order. Delays will be incurred if the customer takes more than a few days to approve an emailed proof. No delivery time is guarantied and we cannot be held responsible if an order arrives later than expected due to the courier service.
All orders are covered for accidental loss or damage during delivery, but not for delayed deliveries.
If the couriers are unable to deliver after 3 attempts and have not had any instruction from the customer (the purchaser of the goods), the item will be returned to us at the expense of the purchaser of the goods and subject to a re-delivery cost (the return cost plus a new delivery charge) Therefore please provide a delivery address where you are sure somebody will be there to sign for it. Some couriers are now using a different policy of attempting delivery once then leaving the parcel at a local depot/shop for collection instead. This will be the customers responsibility to pick this up in the time that is allocated to them if they miss their delivery. If the parcel is not picked up in the collected time the parcel will be returned to us at the expense of the purchaser of the goods and subject to a re-delivery cost (the return cost plus a new delivery charge).
BlueBird Wedding Stationery will endeavour to supply services and products as agreed but cannot be held liable for situations beyond its control, for example discontinued materials, postal disputes, Act of God, War, Strike, Lockout, Labour Dispute, Fire, Flood, Drought, Pandemic or other causes beyond the control of BlueBird Wedding Stationery.
If you are unhappy with the delivery of your order, if your box was damaged, or the contents damaged, please tell us within 24 hours of receipt with photographic proof, as we may be able to make a complaint to the couriers.
Printing
Because most of our stationery is hand-finished, there may naturally be slight variations on each item; the client accepts that there will be slight variations between items. However, every effort will be made to maintain a suitable level of uniformity within each order. In the event of any materials being unavailable, we will endeavour to provide a suitable substitute with your prior approval.
As our stationery is all made to order, and is handmade therefore complete ‘perfection’ is not possible in the same way as mass produced items. Minor variations in colour, texture, size and positioning can occur and do not constitute a fault. It is normal for digitally printed items to have a 2/3mm tolerance at the cut. Due to improvements that we believe improve the products, or practical reasons regarding printing and finishing, slight design variations may occur between what is shown on the website and the design in your proof, the proof is always accurate to what you will receive. The proof is sometimes in ‘print ready’ format and may appear to be a strange size/shape, or may include crop marks and bleed outside of the design, do let us know if you don’t understand how it will print and we will explain.
BlueBird Wedding Stationery cannot be held responsible for the natural aging of products nor be held responsible for how our products are handled by the postal system.
Please note: colours on screen are a representation only due to differences in monitor/screen settings therefore exact colour matches are not always possible and stationery may be a slightly different shade/colour to what you see on your home computer/phone. When orders that are printed in separate batches or split over a time period, there is always a possibility of colour variation or print discrepancy. This is due to items being printed using different equipment or toner. This also applies to differences between samples and final printed items. Table Plans and Welcome signs are printed on to a different material to other stationery then slight colour discrepancies are likely from the other items. Payment for colour discrepancies will not be refunded.
Please bear in mind that textured and recycled card types will not achieve a perfectly smooth flawless print, this is part of the rustic feel of the card and not a print quality issue.
Proofing
We request that proofs are approved within 30 days of making an order. This is so we can schedule the work accordingly. We may be able to be more lenient on this at certain times of year but this is up to our discretion. All items that are ordered together will be sent together, unless otherwise agreed. We suggest making several separate orders if you are not ready for certain items yet, or do not have all of the information ready to add to your items.
Text should be typed clearly and emailed to april@BlueBirdWeddingStationery. Please type in upper and/or lower case as required. If we believe formatting/ spelling errors have been made we will try to correct them. BlueBird Wedding Stationery is not responsible for any errors or omissions, spelling or otherwise in the text supplied by the client or any omissions, spelling or otherwise not spotted by the client at the proofing stage. BlueBird Wedding Stationery will advise on text and wording for invitations where necessary.
BlueBird Wedding Stationery will provide the client with up to three rounds of proofs for approval before production, which will be emailed to the client. It is the responsibility of the client to check the proofs for printing and amendments should be detailed clearly by email with reference to the proof by the file name. Any alterations beyond this may incur further charges based upon the time taken and costs incurred by BlueBird Wedding Stationery.
As all products are made to order and personalised refunds and exchanges CANNOT be made at any stage after an order is placed and paid for, please keep this in mind when ordering and getting correct numbers needed. It may be possible to change/alter your order if it is in the early stages but this is at the discretion of BlueBird Wedding Stationery and cannot be guaranteed. By virtue of regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the right to cancel does not apply to personal products.
PLEASE NOTE: BlueBird Wedding Stationery is not responsible for any errors or omissions not found by the client after the proofing stage, an order cannot be refunded because of errors not spotted at the proofing stage.
Covid-19
We understand it is a very difficult time to be planning a wedding with ever-changing Covid-19 restrictions. However our original terms and conditions till stand and exceptions will not be made for Covid-19 related reasons. If a wedding is cancelled or postponed for any reason, and an order has already been made, a refund cannot be given at any stage. We may put your order on hold if it is not yet approved but this at our discretion and will depend on the type of order.
